Hope everyone had a happy Halloween and stocked up on lots of candy. It works as perfect fuel during this marathon we writers call ,NaNoWriMo. The above picture is a depiction of conflict (and two of the most beloved characters every to be written into existence). At the heart of every interesting story is conflict. Two or more forces fighting against each other. Each with an agenda that is in clear opposition to the other. Pushing pulling, shoving, screaming, shouting, loving, lusting. It's what makes the galaxy spin, causes particles to form into molecules. Conflict makes the world go round.
Keep that mind, and--like your Halloween candy--it will jolt your story when it needs a boost.
